Max has been practicing injury law since 1996. He has resolved hundreds of claims from road accidents, slip and trip accidents, and other traumatic events. He routinely acts for people with serious and permanent injuries. The majority of his cases are against institutional defendants, including ICBC and other insurance companies. He spent six years providing legal services to ICBC, which gave him an insider’s knowledge of how insurance companies defend claims. During that time he also acted as an arbitrator, ruling on liability assessments by ICBC adjusters.

Max helps his clients navigate the changes to their lives caused by the carelessness of others.  He works with his clients, insurers, and opposing lawyers to obtain remedies which are fair and which allow his clients to get on with their lives as best they can. Most of his clients are referred to him by former clients and other lawyers.

Before turning to law, Max spent six years as an engineering technologist. He worked in planning and executing oil exploration and drilling projects throughout Western Canada. After law school, he practiced at Prince George’s largest firm for six years before relocating to Victoria in 2002.
